Tea Story

This distinctive loose leaf Assam black tea grows in one of the most famous and revered tea gardens in the Assam region. A wonderful breakfast tea, this outstanding Second Flush has a strong, spicy and malty flavour. Its fine leaves boast an abundance of golden tips and imparts a copper coloured infusion with a distinctive malty aroma.

Assam teas - most of which are grown at or near sea level - are known for their body, briskness and malty flavour as well as their strong and bright colour.

The Assam black tea can be enjoyed with milk or cream and sugar, as per your personal taste, and is wonderful taken in the morning.

Assam

The state of Assam is the largest tea-growing region in the world. This part of India experiences high precipitation during the monsoon period, with as much as 10 to 12 inches (250-300 mm) of rain per day. The daytime temperature rises to about 103F (40°C), creating greenhouse-like conditions of extreme humidity and heat. This tropical climate contributes to Assam's unique malty taste, a feature for which its teas are well known.

Ingredients: Pure Assam TGFOP Black Tea.

Beautiful fruity orange blossom background
Tuesday, 26 November 2019  |  Ernie

it needs about 4-5 minutes to brew, not 3 minutes give it the extra minute, and then has a beautiful fruity orange blossom background, very smooth, l with no bitterness or sharp edges, even if left a long time to 'stew', it makes a very powerful brew if left, without any astringency.
