Supporting charities that are close to our hearts
Friday, 20 November 2020 | The Tea Makers of London
As the colder days and darker evenings draw in, we have been thinking increasingly more about those within our community that do not have access to the warming and soothing effects that a good quality cup of tea can bring.
It is for this reason that we have committed to giving more back to the community than we ever have before.
For those that have been a customer for some time, you may remember the blend that we created in partnership with the mental health charity, SANE. The blend features bright yellow Chamomile blossoms along with floral rose petals and tangerine. It creates a wonderful, calming infusion that can’t help but make you feel all warm inside. The best part is that 100% of the profits from the sale of this blend go to SANE. Arguably this is the most delicious way to raise funds for the charity and, of course, we will continue this partnership.
Following the challenges that COVID has brought to so many within our community, it is anticipated that there will be a 61% increase in the use of Food Banks. For this reason, we have created a premium Assam and Ceylon breakfast tea blend that we have packed into thousands of our corn-starch Triune teabags. We will provide all local Food Banks that accept our offer of a premium tea donation until our stocks run out.
Finally, thanks to all of our customers, this year we have donated a percentage of our profits to the incredible children’s charity, The Childhood Trust. This charity provides children in our capital city, who are living in poverty, with grassroots services to nurture their development. These children will become our next generation and so the more support that can be offered, the better.
Certainly, over the Christmas period, we will continue to support these wonderful initiates and invite our customers to stand with us in support. If you would like to help, then we have provided links below to learn more.
