Tea just got so much easier, with our Easy Glass Teapot

May we introduce to you wonderful tealovers our Easy Teapot, the first of our Tea Expert Range!

Tell me more...

The Easy Teapot is the teapot without the stained spout or the broken lid, that you may find with other glass teapots during clumsy afternoon teas.

Its versatility and modern design allows you to enjoy the comforts of loose leaf tea, hassle-free!

But how?

How, you ask? Well, all you need to do is sprinkle your tea leaves into the jug, pour the water in and carefully fit the lid on top. Watch in wonder as your tea leaves brew, pour your delicious drink into your cup and then enjoy over and over again.

The lid is lightly screwed on with a roomy infuser rested underneath. This allows the tea leaves to brew with space for maximum effect, so the best of the leaves' flavour is infused in each cup of tea.

The teapots are made out of strong crystal-clear borosilicate glass and the new shape of the pot makes it a highly-attractive accompaniment to a classy evening with friends. Disclaimer, the design is exclusively bespoke and owned by The Tea Makers of London!

They come in sizes 800ml (ideal for 2-3 cups of tea) and 500ml (for 1-2 cups), but brewing capacity may differ; we recommend in a 500ml to fill the pot up to 420ml.

Being dishwasher and stove safe, these teapots require minimal cleaning efforts – as in, you simply rinse the lid and pot and empty the leaves from the infuser. Easy as chai!

Upkeep and usage

If the ambient temperature in the kitchen is low, warming up the teapot before use will help the teapot last longer. This will also help the tea to steep more effectively as the water will not lose heat when poured into the teapot.

The glass is less likely to break or shatter if you warm it up gradually. Once you have poured in the boiling water, avoid resting your teapot on cold surfaces. Instead, rest your teapot a trivet or kitchen towel.

For more information on cleaning glassware, read our 'How To Maintain Your Glassware' blog post.

**Borosilicate glass - Borosilicate glass is made mainly of silica (70-80%) and boric oxide (7-13%) with smaller amounts of the alkalis (sodium and potassium oxides) and aluminium oxide.

'I really love my Easy Teapot and use it all the time.

I love the design because the tea leaves can really brew properly so you get maximum flavour and can even use less tea. It’s super easy to clean and looks great too! '

Teas we recommend you enjoy with the Easy Glass Teapot

This loose leaf tea is a must to enjoy first thing in the morning or mid-afternoon. It is made from a blend of the finest orthodox Ceylon black teas, sourced with the utmost care and expertise. Our customers tend to agree that our Earl Grey tea is the very best they have tasted - just check their reviews!

Our exquisite, full-bodied version of this popular breakfast tea blend beautifully captures the originality of traditional English Breakfast tea by offering a delicate balance of strength and flavour, with an intrinsic smoothness.

For those who seek an authentic Ceylon tea, this version is certain to tick all the boxes (and it makes a wonderful choice of breakfast tea too). The tea leaves have a beautiful caramel aroma, a golden-dark colour and full-bodied brisk flavour, unique to the Sri Lankan region.

Often referred to as the national drink of China, our organic Dragon Well tea has a mellow and delicate flavour. It contains Vitamin C, amino acids, and, like most fine Chinese green teas, has one of the highest concentrations of catechin.

This perfectly balanced Jasmine Dragon Pearls imparts an intense floral flavour with an uplifting fragrance. The infusion has an elegant champagne colour which looks stunning when served in glass teaware.

Being an exceptionally fine Taiwanese tea, Oriental Beauty offers an indulgently aromatic flavour with sweet undertones. The leaves are twisted with silvery streaks, reminiscent of its Taiwanese traditional name, ‘Bai Hao’, which means white-tipped.

Best described as summer in a cup, this beautifully fragrant loose leaf fruit tea is wonderful either brewed hot or enjoyed as a cold brew tea or iced tea. With large chunks of juicy mangos, pineapples and oranges, this tea will get your taste buds tingling with an intensely fruity taste. As it contains no caffeine and plenty of fruit, it can be enjoyed at any time of the day by the whole family.

Our sensational Bora Bora is a true king of fruit teas! Named after the island of Bora Bora, the Jewel of Polynesia, this wonderful loose leaf tea is meticulously created by combining the most exquisite array of exotic and domestic fruits. The fabulously vibrant appearance of this fruit tea infusion is greatly enhanced by the delicate colouring of cornflower, sunflower and hibiscus blossoms.
