The Origins of our Jin Xuan tea
Our Supreme Taiwanese Milk Oolong imparts a delicate flavour with exquisite creamy undertones. The milky notes of this superlative oolong tea, are naturally occurring and stem from the unique conditions and special cultivar of the Taiwanese mountain ranges.
The leaves used to make this tea, are harvested from Jin Xuan tea bushes that grow at a high altitude in the mountains of Taiwan. The leaves are very delicately processed to enhance the natural milky fragrance of the liquor. The warm and humid climate and mountainous terrain of the island, adds a unique flavour profile to this sought-after oolong tea.
Taiwan began to produce oolong teas during the 19th Century. Camellia Sinensis seeds were brought here from the Fujian province of China, which is home to oolong tea. Since this time, Taiwan has become famed for their production of fine-quality oolongs.
