Tea Story

Our beautiful tea press allows you to effortlessly prepare the perfect cup of tea. First, enjoy the stunning display of the leaves brewing freely. Then, once you have reached the desired infusion time, simply press the handle down to gently push the leaves at the bottom of the press. The very fine mesh ensures that not even the smallest leaves can go through, leaving you with a crystalline cup of your favourite tea.

Elegant, compact and easy to use, it can accompany you throughout the day, from your breakfast tea at your desk to a calming infusion with your feet up in the evening.

Skilfully crafted from strong, ultra-light, heat resistant borosilicate glass, this double-walled press will keep your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot for longer, whilst remaining at a very comfortable temperature on the outside. Without condensation or burning hot pots to handle, brewing your cup of tea will be as soothing and enchanting as it deserves to be.

Material: borosilicate** glass, stainless steel handle + lid with plastic insert, stainless steel strainer with fine mesh.

Size – 16.8cm H (with press down) x 8cm diameter (bottom of press)

Capacity – the maximum capacity with tea leaves in 300-320ml (2 cups)

Function – use for hot and cold loose-leaf teas, as well as coffee. Ensure the opening on the insert under the lid lines up with the spout.

Cleaning – rinse with hot water, avoid the dishwasher. Clean the outside gently with a soft sponge and do not apply pressure on the air hole at the bottom.

Heating – do not microwave; not suitable for stovetops.

Packaging – packed in bubble wrap, in a plain white card box

Made in Germany

Upkeep and usage

If the ambient temperature in the kitchen is low, warming up the teapot before use will help it last longer. This will also help the tea to steep more effectively as the water will not lose heat when poured into the teapot.

The glass is less likely to break or shatter if you warm it up gradually. Once you have poured in the boiling water, avoid resting your teapot on cold surfaces. Instead, rest your teapot on a trivet or kitchen towel.

**Borosilicate glass - Borosilicate glass is made mainly of silica (70-80%) and boric oxide (7-13%) with smaller amounts of the alkalis (sodium and potassium oxides) and aluminium oxide.
