This spring batch or Qing Ming Dragon Well also referred to as Longjing is from the 2020 harvest. This micro-batch Dagon Well green tea is introduced as part of our limited edition collection that offers a light and delicate cup with subtle yet complex flavour notes. This most refined version of Longjing tea offers gentle floral, toasted nutty, and naturally sweet mouthfeel. This extremely pleasant tea is handmade using the traditional tea making techniques and dried using a large wok like pan.
Only the most succulent and tender buds are used to produce this tea. High levels of mastery and skill are required to ensure withering, pressing and drying are carried out to precision in order to achieve the right level of flavour combination to elevate this tea as a superior grade among the Dragon Well teas this season.
Having tasted numerous teas from this season flown to us for tasting, our master taster picked this tea for our limited edition range. In order for a tea to make it into our Rare & Limited range, the teas have to be single-origin, single harvest (micro-batch) from independent artisan farmers, where the teas are made using traditional methods. Most of all, the teas have to be sublime, authentic and best representation of its kind.
