This exquisite loose leaf Taiwanese oolong tea is made from the very finest, lightly-oxidised tea leaves which have been infused with the deliciously revitalising oils of ginseng. The wonderful combination of oolong tea and ginseng creates an exceptional infusion that is very enjoyable.
To create ginseng oolong, the tea leaves are mixed with ground ginseng root. This allows the natural flavours and nutrients of the root to infuse into the leaves.
This is an exceptional Taiwanese oolong tea which imparts a delightfully floral and sweet flavour, which gives way to crisp notes of roasted nuts, tingling mint and a lingering and pleasant aftertaste of ginseng. Offering an orangey-green liquor, this unique and luxurious tea is particularly enjoyable when taken after a meal.
Oolong teas originally hail from the Fujian province of China. During the 19th Century, Camellia Sinensis seeds were brought to Taiwan to produce oolong tea. Taiwan is now famous for its oolong teas, which are as highly acknowledged as the Fujian variety.

Despite being an avid tea-o-holic, I have seldom drunk oolongs, so I decided to try ginseng oolong to get back into them. And I'm glad I did! I brew mine for 6-7 mins to get a more fulfilling taste, which is very mellow, yet invigorating, and has a zingy, fruity aftertaste of ginseng! Will definitely be purchasing again.
I am quite the big fan of ginseng oolong teas and this one is just not of high enough quality. the leafs have been infused too much or done in too brutal of a way. The leaves dont really open even with boiling hot water and steeping for the maximum time. They still remain in a ball-shaped format crumbling like burned powder. I am glad i tested it, but this is just not a great quality tea if you know your ginseng oolongs.
