Our Zenshi Glassware range is as elegant as it is practical.

This 300ml tea pitcher is handmade from ultra-light, heat resistant, borosilicate glass. In China - the home of tea - it is common to serve tea in a pitcher to ensure consistency in flavour and temperature.

Material - Borosilicate** Glass (heat resistant, light weight and strong)

Function - Use for serving of tea. Once the tea has brewed in your teapot, transfer the liquor to your tea-pitcher and use for serving. Ensures that the tea does not over-brew and become bitter.

Cleaning - Hand wash or place securely on the top shelf of your dishwasher

Heating - Microwave safe.

Size - Diameter 7.5cm X Height 7.5cm X Length 13cm

Capacity - The maximum capacity is 300ml

Good for - This tea-pitcher is a perfect item for those who love style, elegance and perfection.

Upkeep and usage

If the ambient temperature in the kitchen is low, warming up the pitcher before use will help the pitcher last longer.

The glass is less likely to break or shatter if you warm it up gradually. Once you have poured in the boiling water, avoid resting your pitcher on cold surfaces. Instead, rest your tea pitcher on a trivet or kitchen towel.

**Borosilicate glass - Borosilicate glass is made mainly of silica (70-80%) and boric oxide (7-13%) with smaller amounts of the alkalis (sodium and potassium oxides) and aluminium oxide.

I got this while it was on sale and am shocked by how good the quality is. It?s a gorgeous pitcher which is perfect for small flowering teas or just tea in pretty colours. Held near boiling water with no problems!

We both drink different tea everyday and needed two teapots. These are light and very robust even though they are glass. They also look good.
