Tea Story

This luxurious Jasmine Silver Needle white tea has an exquisitely beautiful jasmine fragrance and a stunning champagne hue. The flavour of this loose-leaf jasmine tea is complex and mild, with sweet and floral undertones.

Only the finest tea buds are picked for the production of this white jasmine silver needle tea. After harvest, the tea buds are mixed with fresh Jasmine flowers and left to dry as the fragrance and flavour of the beautiful flower seeps into the tea buds. This delicate and natural process creates an outstanding loose-leaf tea which imparts a stunning aroma and a complex yet mild flavour.

White tea is a pure rare tea, best harvested during springtime in the lush fields of Fujian, China. It derives from the same leaves used in most black and green teas, Camellia Sinensus, however, only the finest spring buds are collected and used for this intricate process. Once picked, they are carefully withered and dried under natural sunlight. The leaves grow little white hairs, which reflects the tea's name.

White teas are famously delicate and have undergone minimal processing.

White tea is refined with special and natural technology, preserving its rich original contents such as active enzymes, polyphenols matter. Whilst the same plant is used to grow white tea, the process differs slightly to that of green, black and oolong teas.

It is the least processed of the teas as it undergoes a long natural drying process in the sun called 'withering'. As opposed to green tea withering, where the tea leaves are left to dry for only a few hours, white tea leaves are monitored to wither for up to three days. During this time, the tea enzymes produce a balance of sugars and theanine which creates the fresh sweet flavour of white tea.

This is a delicious and beautiful rare loose-leaf white tea.  Because of its low levels of caffeine and high levels of antioxidants, this tea is suitable to be enjoyed in the evening.

My all time favourite tea
Saturday, 17 August 2019  |  Jol-Maurice

This tea combine two of my all time favourites: The Ceylon silver tips and the jasmine green tea. It is perfectly balanced, so it is possible to taste both: the unique floral note of jasmine ans the distinct mellow taste of a good white tea.

A very light tea with a subtle flavour
Saturday, 19 January 2019  |  Stephen

A very light tea with a subtle flavour. The initial steeping looked as though it would be tasteless as the water had not changed colour but that was an illusion, this is not a strongly flavoured tea but a lovely light taste with a good hint of Jasmine.
As the tea oxidised the colour became more pronounced but the flavour remained and it was good for two more steepings.
