Tea Story

Nuwara Eliya, referred to as “Little England” by locals, is known for its cool weather, architecture and golf courses, as well as being the most well-known of Sri Lanka’s tea-growing districts. The area is rugged and mountainous, with a high elevation of over 6,000ft (ca. 1,830m) above sea level. The unique geo climatic attributes and terrain in this area produces an exceptional quality of tea, which is revered by tea connoisseurs from all over the world.

After the famous coffee blight of the 1870s and 1880s, it quickly became apparent that Nuwara Eliya provided the perfect growing environment for the Camellia Sinensis tea plant.

Teas produced in Nuwara Eliya impart a delicately fragrant brew with an exquisite bouquet of unique flavours, and this particular tea is wonderful taken as a breakfast tea.

Ingredients: Ceylon black tea

Not my taste
Tuesday, 19 June 2018  |  Daria

Not my taste, the description sounded more close to smoked teas so decided to try, but no luck.

It would be amazing if Tea Makers could also sell really small taster packets like the ones they send as a promo, for 2-3 cups of tea only.. to prevent tea wastage (and all other efforts) in cases where the taste is different to an expected one. When trying to venture out and trying new things.

A fresh perfumed scent of mountain flavours, reminds of the wonderful hillside of inner Sri Lanka. Wonderful as a morning tea
