Tea Story

This exceptional Raw Pu erh tea imparts a smooth, earthy flavour with a deep aged complexity. Raw Pu erh tea has an ancient history. Historically, it was traded through The Ancient Tea Route of China. A sought-after collectable, Pu erh is among few teas that improve with age. Like fine wines, some decade-old Pu erh teas are incredibly exclusive and sell for high prices.

Due to slow oxidation and a microbial fermentation processes, Raw Pu erh acquires a rich and earthy flavour over time. The flavour of Pu erh tea, changes dramatically over the course of the aging process, resulting in a brew that imparts a pronounced, earthy, yet clean and smooth flavour with sweet undertones.

To get the most authentic brewing result, we recommend that you use a Gaiwan and follow the instructions in our Pu erh Brewing Guide.

Store you Pu erh cake in a sealed cardboard box, away from any exposure to odours from cooking.

Far too bitter for me.

I am sure this Pu erh cake is of the best quality, but the taste for me is really not nice. I just cannot drink it. It is, of course, a matter of personal taste, and others will no doubt find it very acceptable . I thought it would be like Pu erh Tuocha, but not so. More research by me needed next time!

I have been drinking Pu'er tea for 7 years, after I tried this tea I like it straight away. This tea has a clear golden yellow colour; first it tastes a little bitter but later it gives the sweet taste for long time, half an hour later I still have the sweet taste coming from my throat; the aroma of tea is kind of flower mix with honey. All in all, this is a very nice tea. Plus the customer service is always excellent.
