Tea Story

This orthodox loose leaf Assam black tea hails from the acclaimed Manjushree tea estate and makes for a great breakfast tea. Manjushree is nestled in the lush green mountains of Southern India. The high heat and humidity of this region, gives rise to the beautifully bold and characterful taste of this small leaf tea.

With an exceptional abundance of golden tips, the Assam black tea leaves impart an exceptionally strong brew, with the uniquely delicious, malty flavour of Assam teas. Offering a bold, bright liquor this is the perfect flavoursome breakfast tea and is delightful enjoyed with milk.

The state of Assam is the largest tea-growing region in the world. This part of India experiences high precipitation during the monsoon period, with as much as 10 to 12 inches (250-300 mm) of rain per day. The daytime temperature rises to about 103F (40°C), creating greenhouse-like conditions of extreme humidity and heat. This tropical climate contributes to Assam's unique malty taste, a feature for which its teas are well known.

Ingredients: Pure Assam FBOP Black Tea.

I reckon I致e found my breakfast tea.
Having resolved to pull myself together and drink proper tea, I bought this Manjushree Tea Garden and the English Breakfast 黎re here as trial replacements. (Ordered yesterday and delivered the following day to Scotland痴 Northern isles, no less!).
The teas comes in caddies that look very smart and have good, tight-fitting , but easily manipulated lids.
I promptly made a cup each of English Breakfast and the Assam, to drink with milk and sugar in what I consider the Brit breakfast way. To my surprise, the English Breakfast made a lighter drink with a refined flavour while the Assam was more robust and, it seemed to me richer.
I love both but will probably make the Assam my standard.

A very well balanced Assam

A very well balanced Assam. Could do with a little more brightness without compromising the black which I love.
