  • Collecting Loyalty Points

    Once you have created an account with us, we will reward you with loyalty points for every purchase that you make. For every whole £1 that you spend you will receive one point in return.

    Please note Loyalty points expire after 12 months.

  • Redeeming Loyalty Points

    Once you have accumulated minimum of 100 loyalty points, you will have the option to redeem. Please go to Rewards page to redeem the points. You will be presented with a coupon code, which you can use at the checkout to receive the discount.

  • How to Place an Order

    Simply select the product you want and add to the shopping cart. A soft add to cart window will appear. You may click on the cart icon on the top right-hand corner to view the cart. This is an editable cart where you can increase or decrease item quantity.

    Select one of below for checking out:

    Go to Cart – This will take you to the editable cart, where the quantity can be changed. You may also enter a Gift Message at the Cart, if the order is sent as a gift. From here you may Checkout using one of below options.

    Go to Checkout – For a speedy checkout please go to Checkout, where you can complete the order.

    Google Pay – Takes you to checkout by Google

    Shop Pay – Takes you to Checkout

    Paypal – Takes you to checkout by Paypal

    Customers can checkout as a guest as well as a registered user. By
    registering as a user your details will be remembered every time you place an order with us. You will also be able to accumulate loyalty points as a registered user, which can be claimed against your future orders.

  • Received an incorrect item

    We are sorry that you have received an incorrect item. So that we can take next steps please send as much as information via email. Any images of the wrong product would help us deal with the inquiry quicker.

    If the item is returned please ensure that you retain Proof of Postage when returning the item so that we can reimburse you for the cost. You can send a copy of this within your email.

    As with all refunds, we will process this as quickly as possible. This, however, may take up to 14-days, depending on the payment method used, your bank or the time of year.

  • Making changes to an order?

    Unfortunately, once you have placed your order, we are unable to make any changes to it. This includes adding or removing items, changing sizes, colours, delivery address, the delivery option or the email address associated with the order.

  • Quality

    The Tea Makers LTD are committed to providing the very best quality Speciality Teas. All our teas have been carefully and personally chosen ensuring that only the freshest tea leaves are available. We have used appropriate packaging for different options to maintain freshness and to enjoy the health benefits for longer.

  • Coupon Codes

    Coupon codes can be used to redeem any special promotional offers. We may temporarily withhold the right to use coupon codes when there are any promotions across the website. Coupon codes are not valid for sale items.

  • Storing Loose Leaf Tea and Triune Teabags

    We recommend storing your tea in an airtight container and away from direct sources of light.  Our caddies are suitable for this, we do also sell storage jars too.

  • Do you have a shop I can buy tea from?

    We do not have a store to
    purchase from, order are placed and processed online.

  • I'm an overseas customer, UK VAT is not removed from my order.

    Tea is zero rated (0%) for VAT and duty in UK. So, we do not include VAT for tea on our website price.

    This means overseas customers will not see a difference in price when you add a tea product to the basket.

    However, tea might not be zero rated in your country and you will have to pay the VAT (and duty) when importing. We are really sorry about this, and additional charges incurred after Brexit.

    We do charge VAT for all accessories, and we remove the 20% VAT for all overseas customers.

  • Do you send pricing information with the order?

    UK Orders - We include a packing slip with all UK orders dispatched and this does not have pricing information or sender information.

    Overseas Orders - An official electronic invoice is submitted to all overseas orders for customs purposes. Sometimes this is also attached to the box by the customs.

  • Free Tea Samples with every Order

    We will give the option for the customer to chose a free sample with every order. Six tea samples will be presented to you as a pop-up as soon as you add the first product to the basket. Only one sample can be selected per order.

    The customer also has the option to remove the sample at the checkout.

    We do change the free sample selection time to time to give variety of options to our customers.

    Please note - Subscription orders are created automatically and does not have the option to include a free sample with these orders.

  • Are the tea caddies airtight?

    Our tea caddies are made up of three metal parts; the main body, the outer lid and the inner lid. When both the inner and outer lid are on the caddy, it is airtight and will keep your tea fresh. For some of our more fragrant and delicate teas, we package the tea inside the caddy in some bioplastic packaging for extra protection.

    As part of our commitment to sustainability we are always looking to reduce packaging use where possible to minimise our carbon footprint. For more information, please see our Sustainability policy.

  • My order has been delivered to the incorrect address

    If your order has been delivered to the incorrect address by our courier, please Contact Us as soon as possible and we will investigate.

    Please note it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to ensure the shipping address given is accurate.

    We are not liable for failed delivery if any information on the address is incorrect. This includes but is not restricted to;

    • Incorrect/Missing House Name/No. or Flat No.
    • Incorrect/Missing Street Name
    • Incorrect/Missing Town
    • Incorrect/Missing Postcode
