Smooth enough for easy morning drinking but with comforting caramel notes for the afternoon, our Pekoe has all the character of a premium Ceylon black tea.
Crisp yet smooth, with a comforting aroma of caramel and biscuits, our luxury loose-leaf Ceylon Pekoe tea is a versatile black tea that works equally well as a morning brew or afternoon pick-you-up.
A single-origin tea from Maskeliya in Sri Lanka's hilly Central Province, this bright orange Pekoe leaf tea delivers a brisk, pungent flavour with a velvety mouthfeel and a delicious malty sweetness. Being a strong black tea, it has a high caffeine content, which can help with focus and alertness. It is packed with the antioxidant-rich plant compounds called polyphenols, associated with a range of health benefits, including improved digestion and heart health. Enjoy it as is, for a vegan tea, or even better with a generous splash of milk.
It's the beautifully rolled, evenly graded bold black leaves that give this Pekoe tea its superlatively smooth taste. 'Pekoe' is a high-quality black tea made from young leaves, and this stunning blend is produced using the authentic orthodox style of manufacturing, which has been practised in Sri Lanka for 150 years. It's also a hallmark of teas produced in Maskeliya, located in the shadow of the hauntingly beautiful Adam's Peak, Sri Lanka's iconic 2,243m-high mountain, also known as Sri Pada.
This tea offers a toasted biscuity aroma and clear amber infusion. A smooth cup with sweet caramel notes with brisk and lively mouthfeel.

"Great taste, changed from Darjeeling to this one and I prefer the to me slightly stronger taste . Also as I use 1. 5l pot the tea is there for longer before I finish it all and it have consistent great taste from start where it is milder to the end. Lastly, wanted to point out the change in packaging with reseal strip. very nice little touch."
