Great for brewing loose-leaf tea in the office or tea for one at home, the Infuser Mug for Loose Leaf Tea has a 300ml capacity and comes with:
• A removable glass infuser, suitable for all types of loose-leaf teas. (Please note that smaller leaves may work through the openings without affecting the quality of the brew.)
• A glass lid that can be used to hold the glass infuser after steeping.

Going through the motions of loose-leaf tea brewing can be joyful and calming, especially if you have the right equipment. Being able to see the tea as it brews is the great advantage of using glassware. By assessing the colour of the tea as it steeps, you will be able to brew the tea to the exact strength that meets your individual preference.
Caring for your borosilicate infuser mug
Borosilicate glass is made mainly of silica (70-80%) and boric oxide (7-13%), with smaller amounts of alkalis (sodium and potassium oxides) and aluminium oxide. Used in cookware and chemistry labs, it’s renowned for its resistance to thermal shock. However, as a glass product, a certain amount of care still needs to be taken:
• If the ambient temperature in the kitchen is low, warming up the infuser before use will help it last longer. The glass is less likely to break or shatter if you warm it up gradually. Once you have poured in the hot tea, avoid resting the glass on cold surfaces. Instead, rest your infuser on a trivet or kitchen towel.
• To clean your Infuser Mug for Loose Leaf Tea, we advise hand washing or placing it securely on the top shelf of your dishwasher. If any leaves are obstructing the openings of the infuser, use a fine dishwashing brush to remove them.

I would like to ask how much the central infuser part is to replace as mine has now cracked/broken on the underside and no longer keeps the tea leaves and herbs separate from the main part of the mug.
