How to Brew

Use these simple steps for a perfectly balanced cup of loose-leaf chamomile tea:

  • ½ to 1 teaspoons (1 to 2g) per cup
  • 200ml of fresh filtered boiled water (100°C)
  • Steep 3 to 4 minutes
  • Enjoy plain, or with a little honey to taste

For a lighter cup, reduce the quantity or steep for a shorter time. For a fuller, more floral chamomile herbal tea, use a little more leaf and allow it to steep slightly longer.

Why Choose This Tea

  • Naturally caffeine free chamomile tea suitable for any time of day
  • Premium whole chamomile blossoms for superior aroma and flavour
  • Award-winning chamomile tea loose leaf recognised by the Great Taste Awards
  • Ideal for evening rituals, after meals and winding down
  • Pure, single ingredient loose-leaf herbal tea
  • Production & Leaf Preparation

Only the finest whole chamomile flowers are selected for this luxury chamomile loose leaf tea. Harvested in early summer when the blossoms are in full bloom, the whole flower heads are gently dried to preserve their delicate volatile oils.

The larger whole-leaf format allows for gentle extraction, resulting in a clearer cup, softer aroma and a balanced chamomile infusion without bitterness.

What is Chamomile Tea Good For?

Chamomile tea has been enjoyed for thousands of years as one of the world’s most popular herbal teas, valued for its calming and soothing character. Ancient cultures including the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians drank herbal chamomile tea as part of their daily rituals and used the flowers traditionally for comfort and relaxation.

Often enjoyed as a caffeine free herbal tea, chamomile is particularly associated with evening moments of calm and wellbeing. Today, chamomile tea for sleep and unwinding remains a favourite choice for those seeking a gentle, naturally comforting herbal infusion.

Our loose leaf chamomile tea, made from whole blossoms, is best enjoyed as a mindful daily ritual rather than a treatment, offering a soft floral cup that supports relaxation and balance.

Chamomile Origin & Craftsmanship

Our Whole Chamomile Blossoms are sourced from the fertile plains of Karlovac, Croatia, a region renowned for producing exceptionally aromatic chamomile flowers. The temperate climate and rich soils allow the blossoms to develop a high concentration of natural oils, giving this chamomile herbal infusion its distinctive flavour and soothing character.

Each batch is carefully prepared to highlight the natural beauty, aroma and flavour of this premium loose-leaf chamomile tea.

Region

Karlovac, Croatia

Karlovac, often celebrated as Croatia's "crown" region due to its central location and rich floral biodiversity, is particularly famous for its high-quality chamomile. The area's temperate climate, characterised by cold winters and warm summers, provides the perfect conditions for cultivating chamomile. This climate allows the chamomile flowers to develop a high concentration of essential oils, enhancing their aromatic and flavour profiles and making the chamomile exceptionally soothing and flavourful.

The fertile soils of the region further contribute to the quality of the chamomile, enriching its already robust characteristics. Harvesting occurs in early summer when the flowers are in full bloom, just before the onset of midsummer's peak temperatures. This careful timing is crucial as it helps preserve the flowers’ delicate volatile compounds, which are key to the calming effects and distinctive apple-like taste of the chamomile. This meticulous attention to growth and harvesting conditions ensures that the chamomile from Karlovac remains among the most sought-after for its superior taste and therapeutic benefits.
