Rare Glenburn Moonshine white tea from Darjeeling’s Spring first flush. Delicate, floral and low caffeine, single estate tea crafted in limited quantities.
Sourced from one of Darjeeling’s most revered tea estates, Glenburn Moonshine is a rare first flush white tea, produced in small batches and prized for its refinement, purity and aromatic complexity.
Glenburn Moonshine is a rare Darjeeling white tea made exclusively from the youngest buds of the Camellia sinensis plant. Harvested during the spring first flush, it represents the lightest and most delicate expression from the historic Glenburn Tea Estate, located in the cloud-shrouded foothills of the Himalayas.
Appearance: Long, elegantly curled leaves with silver tips and mossy-green buds. Light yellow infusion.
Aroma: Sweet, floral, fruity and fresh spring white blossom scents.
Flavour: Sweet, citrusy in flavour with hints of cool mint and subtle floral notes.
Finish: Low astringency, a lively character and creamy mouthfeel.
Pure Indian white tea
Infuse 2-3g (1 to 2 tsps.) gently in 200ml water, cooler than boiling at 80°C for 3-4 minutes to allow the delicate white tea flavours to unfold without bitterness.

This Moonshine grade is crafted only from the most tender spring buds, handpicked by experienced artisans. As a white tea, the leaves undergo no oxidation, relying instead on careful withering and drying to preserve their natural character.
Seasonal weather plays a critical role, meaning each year’s harvest expresses subtle differences in aroma and taste, adding to its collectable nature.
White tea is known for being rich in polyphenols and catechins, compounds linked to antioxidant activity and cellular protection. Its low caffeine content also makes it a gentle alternative for those seeking clarity without overstimulation. Scientific research indicates that minimally processed teas such as white tea may support cardiovascular health and help reduce oxidative stress.
Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, Glenburn Tea Estate sits between two snowfed rivers in Darjeeling, the Rangeet and the Rung Dung wind through the spectacular Glenburn gardens, located in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal at elevations between 244m and 985m.
Founded in 1859 by a Scottish tea company, the estate is now run by the fourth generation of the Prakash family, celebrated locally as one of India’s most respected tea dynasties.
Beyond tea making, Glenburn is a place of outstanding natural beauty and recognised for its biodiversity, ethical labour practices and commitment to sustainable cultivation, producing teas that are as principled as they are exceptional.
The spring release of Darjeeling first flushes is one of the most celebrated moments in the Indian tea calendar. Our tea tasters have sourced some of the district's finest for you to explore alongside the Glenburn Moonshine white tea, including Okayti, Jungpana, Giddapahar and Upper Namring.

"Just a delightful tea. My favourite"
"This is a delicious tea, but I do wish you supplied it, and your other speciality teas, in some quantities between 50 and 250g: 250 is a lot of tea for something best enjoyed fresh; 50g only comes in a caddy (but I don't want another caddy). Can you not supply e. g. 100g and/or 150g packs?"
"Test really good"
"Was bought as a present for a 80th Birthday. The lady whose birthday it is was born in Darjeeling in India, so hopefully the tea will bring back memories. Tea arrived well packaged and on time."
"Interesting tea, very mild but not as flavourful as I had expected from the right up, but at the same time refreshing."
"The quality of this tea is outstanding and I can't recommend it enough."
"Beautiful light tea. Very tasty. This was bought for me as a gift. Far too expensive for me to be buying for myself. Will have as a treat. I can get a second batch of tea out of the same leaves."
"I love this tea!! The flavour is just so light and balanced but still packs a punch. In my opinion it's the best white tea available from TML. I could drink multiple cups all day long and not tire of the flavour. Let's be honest it's not the cheapest of teas but it's well worth it, even if it's your once in a while guilty secret."
"Wow, just wow! This is light and utterly delicious! My first ever “white tea” though I do love Darjeeling, this was even nicer than my usual."
