Region & Time of Harvest
This tea is harvested all year round in the Imboolpittiya Estate, located in central hills of Sri Lanka (Ceylon).
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this tea, never having tried anything similar. It is delicious. A soft and gentle tea with a calming flavour. I like drinking it in the afternoon. A great alternative to dark tea.
This tea is very smooth to the palate in fact so much so that after the first infusion (which I recommend you need to do for at least ten minutes ) it’s so smooth that you might think it lacks character but I think it’s just a really good cup of tea without the bitterness you can get from white teabags you get from the supermarket. However it seems after the second infusion there’s more flavour with definite hints of honey. A pleasant tea if you have time in the morning to let the flavour come out.
