Freshly Homemade Matcha Lemonade 

Matcha is the drink of the summer; but did you know that you can enjoy this green tea powder in a range of different recipes? 

We’ve created a matcha twist on one of the quintessential summer treats; freshly made lemonade, so you can enjoy all the green goodness while staying refreshed and hydrated this summer.  

 

Ingredients 

You will need:

 

Making the Lemonade

Step 1  

Roughly chop the lemons (keeping the skin on) and then add to a blender or food processor.

Step 2  

Add the 150g of white sugar to the lemons.

Step 3  

Pour the tap water into the blender, firmly seal and blend until most large pieces have gone.

Step 4  

Strain the mix through a sieve into a jug or pitcher, ensuring no lumps get through.

Step 5 

Mix the strained juice with sparkling water and stir gently until mixed.

Making the Matcha  

Step 1 

Add 4 Perfect Matcha Spoons (or 8g) of Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder to a bowl or mug.

Step 2  

Heat the Water to 70-80°C and add a small amount to the matcha powder - enough to create a thin paste, a bit like an espresso shot.

Step 3 

Whisk the matcha and water together using a bamboo whisk or electric whisk. Start slowly to mix the powder with the water, then increase your speed while using a W motion to create froth. 

Step 4  

Pour gently into the freshly made lemonade.
