Loose leaf convenience guaranteed

A beautiful cup of tea is one of life’s simple pleasures, so brewing it should be easy. Enter this cleverly designed piece of teaware. Mouth-blown from heat-resistant and hard-wearing borosilicate glass, the Easy Glass Teapot has a lid with a built-in stainless-steel strainer, making serving your speciality loose-leaf teas a breeze. Just scoop in the tea leaves, add water and fit the lid. A silicone seal keeps it nice and snug. When you’re ready, pour away – no need for a fiddly separate tea strainer.

The broad body of this stylish yet practical teapot gives the tea leaves plenty of room to infuse, while the crystal-clear glass allows you to check brewing strength at a glance. We particularly love using it for flowering teas, and watching them bloom in the glass.

Dishwasher- and microwave-safe (without the lid). Modern, elegant and delivered in a smart presentation box, our Easy Glass Teapot makes a great gift for any tea lover.

Materials

Strong and durable mouth-blown borosilicate glass teapot with stainless steel infuser lid (Inner base of the lid is made of food grade plastic to prevent over heating) and black silicone safety seal around the lid for a snug fit.

Why choose glassware for making tea?

Culinary and lab grade borosilicate glass offers high resistance to thermal shock, making the Easy Glass Teapot perfect for enjoying a variety of speciality teas. Being able to see the tea as it brews is the great advantage of using glassware. By assessing the colour of the infusion as it steeps, you'll be able to brew it to the exact strength that meets your individual preference.

Caring for your teapot

Borosilicate glass is made mainly of silica (70-80%) and boric oxide (7-13%), with smaller amounts of alkalis (sodium and potassium oxides) and aluminium oxide. Used in cookware and chemistry labs, it’s renowned for its resistance to thermal shock. However, as a glass product, a certain amount of care still needs to be taken:

• If the ambient temperature in your kitchen is low, warming up your Easy Glass Teapot before use will help it last longer. The glass is less likely to break or shatter if you warm it up gradually; this will also help the tea to steep more effectively as the water won’t lose heat when poured into the teapot.

This teapot is not stovetop safe. The glass can withstand low-medium heat however is not designed to boil water or be heated on a direct flame or oven. Heating it's contents on an oven or stovetop may cause it to shatter.
