Tea Story

Our Supreme Taiwanese Milk Oolong imparts a delicate flavour with exquisite creamy undertones. The milky notes of this superlative oolong tea, are naturally occurring and stem from the unique conditions and special cultivar of the Taiwanese mountain ranges.

The leaves used to make this tea, are harvested from Jin Xuan tea bushes that grow at a high altitude in the mountains of Taiwan. The leaves are very delicately processed to enhance the natural milky fragrance of the liquor. The warm and humid climate and mountainous terrain of the island, adds a unique flavour profile to this sought-after oolong tea.

Taiwan began to produce oolong teas during the 19th Century. Camellia Sinensis seeds were brought here from the Fujian province of China, which is home to oolong tea. Since this time, Taiwan has become famed for their production of fine-quality oolongs.

This is an outstanding, fine-quality milk oolong tea, that can be enjoyed any time of the day.

Note that no flavouring has been added to this tea. The milky flavour occurs naturally.

Ingredients: Pure Taiwanese Oolong Tea.

Jin Xuan Milk Oolong supreme No.92.

Generally a nice tea with good quality leaf; however, it is a bit disappointing in the over all flavour which to me was a bit musty and has not got the delicate aromas and poingient milk flavour indicative of this fine tea. To be fair i have only brewed this with Welsh mineral water and have yet to fully validate its flavour profile with the range of waters i would normally use.

Good quality tea, very fragant and fresh. The packing preserves the tea and it comes in a useful tin container. Also, good service.

Complex, high quality tea. Yes, the 'milk' in the name is appropriate, but unlike many such teas, there are layers here, with subtle, almost spicy-rich undertones. Great stuff.
I've given it 4 stars because my guests, who like the flavoured milk oolong, don't like this.
Think of it as a very fine wine. Not lowest-common-denominator stuff, but real stand out flavours. The people who are likely to buy this stuff are likely to find it interesting, intriguing and worthwhile. But perhaps not one for novices.
